Big Sky Rocketry Association 2026 Season News:

To make things easy, we have decided to simply make the launch schedule the third Saturday of every month between March and October (inclusive).  As always, weather and fire restrictions will result in launches being cancelled.  

July and August launches were cancelled, and possibly September.  The area continues to face dry and hot conditions.  The Sand Creek and Bobcat Lake fires have been raging within 15-20 miles west of the launch site. Two days of rain in August have helped, but it would not be surprising if we are not allowed to launch in September also. 

June Launch Cancelled!  Fire Restrictions are being managed on a day-by-day basis, which doesn't support the level of planning needed to host a launch.  July, August, and September are virtually guaranteed to be restricted (they have been for 24 plus years and this year is dryer than previous years.)

March Launch Cancelled!  The Fire Warden for Twin Bridges strongly suggested to me that we not launch.
