Three TARC teams flew qualification flights this year: Butte High School Rocket Dawgz, East Middle School, and Helena High School. All three teams flew successful missions. All three teams were challenged by the cold weather we have experienced lately, but vow to continue.

Logan Schuelke flew 23 flights while flight testing and improving the East Middle School team's rocket. He flew an outstanding qualification flight that came very close to the top 100 scores. Logan did a great job of applying science to the challenge.

The Butte High Rocket Dawgz flew a new design this year with tube fins and a lightweight configuration that looked great but had some consistency problems. I am constantly impressed by this team's interest in theory and growth in construction skills.

Helena High had an ambitious two motor cluster rocket that was well built and good looking with a high power rocketry style altimeter bay. Unfortunately, in each of their two qualification attempts only a single motor burned. Their team featured our own Keenan Cox. I'm eager to see what they do next year.

Congratulations to all three teams! If it was easy everybody would be doing it!
